Cameron Pavlicek

INstructor & Founder
Cameron Pavlicek, a Montana-based narcotics investigator, is a former Eastern Montana Drug Task Force Commander and past President of the Montana Narcotics Officers Association. He founded Yellowstone Narcotics to provide cutting-edge, POST-accredited training that reflects the latest crime trends and investigative techniques. With a career dedicated to advancing law enforcement education, Cameron ensures all instructors actively use the methods they teach, making Yellowstone Narcotics a trusted resource nationwide.

Barry Kilpela

Instructor
Sergeant Barry Kilpela has served with the Montana Highway Patrol since 2013 and is currently the statewide K-9 Unit Supervisor.  A K-9 Handler since 2016 and Trainer since 2022, he is also a founding member of Montana’s first full-time interdiction team, actively building cases along the I-90 and I-94 corridors. Through self-initiated cold traffic stops, Barry has seized over 2.5 metric tons of illegal drugs, more than $1.2 million in illicit U.S. currency, and has made over 250 major interdiction arrests. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, an advanced peace officer license, and P.O.S.T. certification, he is also a recognized subject matter expert on police K-9 use and drug-tainted currency for the U.S. Attorney’s Office, District of Montana.
